    (Senior Manager Level) Job Description

    This position sits within Cheil Europe RM team and is mainly focused on data analyzing of product sales performance at retail stores such as Run rate, Shelf Share, Sell out/OOS rates, dead SKU. Main client for this position is the RM Innovation Manager at Europe Marketing team of Samsung Europe RHQ. 

    He/she will be paired in working with Samsung Retail Marketing Innovation Manager and in close working relationship with HQ GBM and Europe Regional Production Managers (CE divisions RPM) to analyze all kinds of retail data extracted from the offline retail stores on product sales by each Samsung Europe subsidiary and find the optimized solution to support the offline retail in-store marketing activation in terms of the better product sales performance, investment ROI of store location/size and SKU optimization.

    The reporting is one of the regular deliverables such as product growth rate / stock trend / competitor status & promotion and final retail Insight which will help the Cheil RM team providing the overall Europe retail guideline and strategic direction across the respective Samsung subsidiaries and Cheil RM network to follow within their retail marketing activation and in-store execution responsibility. 

    This position is more focused on retail data analyzing, driving insight, strategic direction setting and must require a specific field working experience of Samsung Retail Operation at such as Samsung digital plaza or similar CE general stores in Korea.

    OBJECTIVES

    Cheil RM team has been established with the main objective to provide the Europe Retail Business Control Tower function for Samsung Europe at CE product sales from the offline retail environment and maintain the consistency at  the in-store retail marketing activation. The service includes the full scope of data analysis, localized strategic guideline development, delivering retail execution, store maintenance inspection and monitoring with reporting. 

    The RM Innovation Manager as the data analysist at Cheil Europe RM team works closely with the RM In- Store Marketing team to provide a full scope innovation consulting service in collaboration with the Cheil RM network across Europe. This team will also need to work continuously with RM managers at local respective Samsung subsidiaries to provide the Europe CE product in-store activation strategy based on the retail data insight.



    ACCOUNTABILITIES

               Responsible for managing the Europe retail data analysis in cooperatively working with Cheil RM In- Store Marketing Team for on/off-line retail activation programs, content and supporting roll out work

               Lead RM Innovation function and collaborate with RM In-Store Business Director (Cheil) to build and refine the retail strategy and deliverable scope to continually improve in the Cheil Europe RM services area. Propose changes/innovations to work stream, workflow and service delivery formats.

               Work with EO RM Innovation manager (Client) to communicate with HQ GBM and Europe PRM to secure the Europe retail sales data such as Run Rate, OOS, Shelf Share, SKU of key stores from each country (of all 17 Europe Subs) and generate the data matrix to run the analysis for developing the in-store marketing execution plans.

               Cheil RM manager responsibility and role;

    - Liaise with internal and external clients/stakeholders to fully understand data content 

    - Identify, evaluate and implement services and tools to support data validation and cleansing - Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and 

    techniques

    - Monitor and audit data quality in order to develop and support reporting processes

    - Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools (Data dashboards, graphs and visualizations)

    - Design and carry out surveys across Europe Cheil network and analyses survey data including the framework, sector and competitor benchmarking intelligence (Competitor monitoring)

               In working with HQ and Europe subsidiary stakeholders (RM managers), Need identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes

               Have strong knowledge and understanding of the sales data and collaborate with Cheil RM network in driving coordination of all in store marketing requirement. 



    Qualifications

               Specifically previous Samsung employee or working experience at Samsung Digital Plaza (or similar industry equivalent - Hi-Mart, LG Best Shop)

               Deep knowledge and understanding of Samsung Retail Operation, Product sales, use of data platform and reporting analysis tools

               Not only need to understand the data, but be able to provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal communication.

               Position requires 7 ~ 10 years related experience at the field retails sales operation and in-store product SKU or planogram execution

               Ability to pay attention to detail, communicate well and be highly organized are essential

               Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows

               Experience of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques with the ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualizations.

               Strong client relationship, interpersonal, organizational skills with the ability to lead the data strategy within the team 

               Flexible and multi-functional to handle ever changing priorities

               Ability to work in a fast paced environment with self-starter mentality
